AA cell with the best power density?

What is better for high discharge currents? Some of the newer AA driver boards can deliver 800ma or more to the led, and can draw around 3 amps from the cell.

Which AA cells can handle that high current for longer? Is it the lsd cells like Eneloop or Hybrio or is it the Sanyo or Maha 2700mah? Not really worrying about total runtime, just which would keep such a light at full brightness for the longest. Does the higher initial voltage of the lsd cells help much?

The Sanyo 2700 mAh cells still deliver more total energy at 3 Amps than the 2000 mAh Eneloops.

Although the voltage under load for the Eneloops are still higher than for the 2700s, you should still get more total energy out of the 2700s as long as the driver can handle the voltage going down to 1.1 volts per cell or less.
