AA Lithium Primes - Run time?

I just wondered if anyone who had more knowledge about batteries than my feeble mind knows how long AA Lithium Primes could last for before they run out of power and if there is a way to effectively monitor how much juice they have left?

Has anyone used them in their 1AA or 2AA flashlight?

I have been using an AA lithium prime for another purpose (non-flashlight use) and when I briefly put it on a monitor it still shows as 1.78 volts after I have used it for quite a long time.

I know these batteries are good and last longer than alkalines, but... is there any effective way to monitor how long they are going to last for?

I am suspecting that this battery could very well say 1.78 volts for most of its life and then it could just go straight down within a very short period of time?

When I have monitored regular Alkalines in the past you get some indication e.g. they may drop slowly down from about 1.65 volts down to e.g. 1.01 volts when they are pretty much dead and of no use. But you get some indication along the way of how much longer they will last for e.g. when they are down to 1.35 or 1.30 you know they don't have much longer to go.

Would be interested to know if anyone has used them in their 1AA or 2AA led flashlight how long AA Lithium primes last for compared to regular Alkaline and rechargeable Lithium or other?

It looks like the e2 I am using will stay the same for 3/4's of its life then I should have some indication in the last 24 or 25%.

It actually looks like the Alkalines and NiMh rechargeables are worse and drop rapidly without much warning from that chart.

sure you will see more slower decline on output on many devices with the lithium, but dont forget , with RECHARGABLE , you can also have the cells topped off anytime

With rechargable you can have a "NEW" cell for every day of the year

so which is better,
a light that runs longer on a single change , but to ALWAYS run longer it has to be thrown out.
the battery with 25% of 150%

A light that doesnt last as long on a battery change, but can ALWAYS leave the house fully charged.
the battery with 100% of 100%

Rechargable rules ! unless you arent neer any power for long and long times, then Solor helps :)

It isnt just about "Green" its about the Green $$$$

Actually I don't know about that now. There is these new nimh rechareables that last like a lithium battery

Now the only advantage of lithium prime is longer self life and higher voltage, although higher voltage does not always means better. So really it is down to longest shelf storage life.

But capacity the 2850 ansmann is made for digital cameras. Will see when I get these by mail.

I don't recommend them. Besides not actually being that capacity, such ultra high capacity cells are quite fragile and are not nearly as good for general consumer cells.
 
it does comes with a 2 year warranty though. I could see not many people are aware since they are only few that have bought these batteries, mainly photographers. I am just curious about these cells.

Also I used AA lithium primary for my mobile charger. Let just say i don't want to use these batteries again as it gets hot too fast.

Check the Selfbuilt reviews in the review section of the forum. He does Lithium runtime tests in all the AA flashlights.
