greetings all...

My needs for charging AA Nimh batteries is as following.

I want to be able to charge AAs from solar, car and grid (220V) sources. Use will be for EmmCom deployment and the occasional home use.

Specifications are: Totally Automatic charging with all safety features, 4 AA & AAA batteries (no C&D sizes), car adapter, trickle charging, and further down in the list, the ability to charge Eneloops too (do they require a special charger?) & an economical solution not exceeding 100$ for both charging systems.

For this purpose and searching the site of Batteryjuction (where i will probably be shopping from) here is what I am considering as options

Solar Power - 6V/12V Multi Purpose Solar Panel Charger
(it would be good if the solar charger could charge AAs too)

Car & Grid Current Source:
Vanson CH-V1880 Smart Charger
other options are:
V1000 Ultra Fast Smart Charger with Car Lighter Adaptor
Digipower DPS-3000+E 220V Charger

So I would like your opinions on my selections, but alternative selections and sources are more than welcome

Thnaks beforehand, kostas

Buy one charger like I did, I bought a MAHA C401FS, it has a small plug in that takes 12v. Then a wall power supply for the wall charging, a 12v in cord for vehicle charging so then you just have to add a 12v solar panel. It will charge fast or slow and will charge eneloop just fine (you don't really need anything special for them). I'm following some of the emcoom standards and am making a powerpole cable for it.
