About the 6PL and Inova T4...

What kind of LEDs do these use, and on the grandscale of modern LEDs how well do they compare in terms of brightness and quality?

Newest Inova T4- TFFC K2
6PL- Cree XR-E or SSC P4

In the "grand scale", they're two of the best. The SSC P4 in the Surefire combines high efficiency with the ability to produce very smooth beams. With the K2 TFFC, Lumileds managed to put out an emitter that has a consistantly warm tint. It doesn't get the same lumens per mA as the SSC, but the tint makes it a good compromise for us warm LED fans.
