I tried searching, but only came up with a few hits on CPF regarding this charger (Accu-cycle elite). I am thinking about using this charger for charging AW C cells; any opinions or criticisms on this charger?

Any anyone tried this one in comparison to the more commonly used items such as the Triton?

Did you read this thread? I am very happy with my accucyle elite and purchased mine from www.wholesaletrains.com . I feel conifident sleeping or leaving the house with batteries charging.

My oppinion is that the DSD / Ultrafire chargers are a very basic solution and not well suited for C size cells.

I think a "smart" "easy" and "safe" mid level solution is a Triton, Accucyle Elite or Other R/C charger. The advantage for the Accucyle is that it can charge 2 batteries at one time. It's like having 2 Tritons.

If you want to charge more batteries at a time, the serious guys are home modding a Voltcraft holder and mating it with a Li-Ion ballancing charger - Not for the timid. You can read up on this option here.
