What would be a good, bright (flood or spot not important), small (possible keychain), 1x-aaa cell, light out there.

I have seen the ARC AAA, Peak Matterhorn, and a few others but still confused since now there are cree LEDs too.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!:grin2:

It depends on how much power you actually need. Mostly, a "dim" Fenix E0 or ARC AAA will just do fine.

I have the following 1AAA lights and love them all.
- ARC AAA (I have several, in red, green and white)
- Maglite Solitaire with 3mm led kit
- Fenix E0
- Fenix E1
- Fenix L0P (not my first recommendation)
- Peak Matterhorn 1led HP
- Peak Baltic 50cp

Best regulation is with the Solitaire led, Fenix E0 and E1. and maybe the Baltic. This might be an important consideration when using alkalines and constant power is prefered. With NiMH, regulation is, in a way, provided by the battery itself.

Prices vary between the cheap (a real bargain!) Fenix E0 and the Peak Baltic.
If I wasn't a flashaholic, I would order the E0 and the E1 and never look back.
But I am a flashaholic, so I bought them all.

Kind rergards,
Joris

PS: I would like to see a Fenix L0P with FLAT regulation and one output level of around 30 lumens. Please...

Sorry, I'll list them according to brightness:
first is lowest output, last is most powerful
- ARC AAA std / Peak Matterhorn 1 led HP
- Fenix E0 / Maglite Solitaire led
- ARC AAA premium / Peak Baltic 50cp*
- Fenix E1
- Fenix L0P

*(this is the least powerful version of the Baltic, there are FIVE output levels! 50, 75, 100, 175 and 230 candlepower)

BladeDogg,

How much are you looking to spend?

Good & Bright being qualifiers, go with a Fenix LOD CE.

Here's a great review (posted Feb, 24 2007) http://www.flashlightreviews.com/reviews/fenix_l0dce.htm

For what it's worth I have one and it is an excellent keychain flashlight. I use it more as a convenience light, vice a work light. In that regard it isn't bad at all to multi twist from medium, low, bright. For brightness it is one of the best AAA's on the market. The review says it all

All very very good advice. This is more complicated than I thought... :ohgeez:

Ok...I will be doing some researching for sure. Thanks again!
