DARPA funded projects can be commercialized by the firm conducting the work - that is the whole point. OTOH, there could be other restrictions on the light due to its intended use.

UMM yeah ill just get one of the DARPA lights .....or maybe an L1 , how does an L1 compare in brightness to a 1st gen streamlight tl-2 led ? -A

There is the L2 also. It is bright on the high setting.
Do you have a light to suck the juice out of your "dead" 123a batteries?? An Inova X5t?? Just wondering.
