I've done a little bit of experimenting with anodizing Titanium flashlights like my ThruNite Titanium Ti CW 162 Lumen Cree Flashlight. It came out really well but I am wondering if anyone has any experience in submerging these flashlights into water and any tricks or tips on making sure the internals dont get wet when anodizing. Here is a pic of what i did to mine.

Thanks! John

I would say complete disassembly with internal parts removal. Isn't there a possibility of damaging the electronics inside due to high voltage being used to anodize it, especially fully submerged.

i just took the battery out of my ti99 it was waterproof enough as is dipped it applied voltage let it sit for a min or 2 and pulled out my now blue fenix ti99

you can also use a wet sponge and paint the anodizing on... hook the negative to the flashlight then brush the light with a paper towel soaked in tap water and hooked to the positive side... you should hear a sizzle and see a color trail...
