Re: Another new LOZ review. Osram Dulux Mini
Main item of review was a mains lightbulb rated to 150 lumens - but I have nothing to verify that with! (Methinks I need a light meter...).
It is worth noting though, that even in this sort of form, that fluorescent lighting is generally more efficient than incandescent - in low voltage form I reckon LED's will probably win though. Seems about on par though - a 5W LS can be rated up to 120 lumens (According to memory anyway).
I might downgrade that a bit to 75lm to be safe, but for a 2AA light, it is rather bright. Though as it's a flood, it might not seem very bright initially.
I'm quite new to this (estimating light levels anyway), so if anyone has a verified value for this light, feel free to correct me.
For comparisons - I'm out of luck there, the most expensive light I own cost $50! Surefire's aren't going to happen unless I win the Lottery I'm afraid...neither is a light meter...
The light does dim a little as it progresses through the runtime, but not *much* Gets to a point where it basically dies more or less instantly.
As for getting them in the US, availability seems to be very limited - however, I could get a couple of them and ship them to you, PM/email me if you're interested.
