Any ideas for duplicating this cabling?

This site is dangerous. It has convinced me to build a bike light from scratch. I've already started the square tubing chasis that will ultimately hold an MC-E and and P4.

I have looked at cabling options, and more specifically the point of entrance to the light and connections, and this is the one I like the best.

point of entrance to the light and connections,

looks like a simple cable - if a bit of force goes into that, the light might fail.
or, as there are connectors a few distance along the cable that fight my 1st concern: a slight bit of hassle when packing the light with that extending cable. Also a point where the cable will crack from bending

imho better:
at the backside, any female jack (there are sooooo many. 1st that comes into mind: chinch)
corresponding contact to the end of the cable

not watertight for diving, but working in any condition one can bike.
