Anybody change out the led in a Stinger DS led? Mine has a Cree I was wondering how it would look and if it would have more output if a Cree XP-G was in there. Thanks for your help.

I have not changed that one out, but I do like the beam of the stinger.
As a general guide, a larger die area like that will have more lumens (more total light) but less throw - perhaps only 25% as much with the same reflector.
I looked at a stinger on Friday at a local police supply store. Nice light, but it wasn't practical to take it apart in the store. :laughing:
