Was in the store last weekend for a warranty replacement (that's a long story, don't ask) and I was somewhat flabbergasted to see that not only did all the geniuses had either photons (photon-2, from the look of it) or fauxtons, but the guy I was talking to had a Lighthound fauxton hanging from his nametag.

Anyone know if Apple is buying these from the hound en masse now?

Nah... unless all other Apple stores have them. In my office all the other techs I got them to have E01 :D far and away from button cell lights

A friend of mine works at the local Apple store and says they are required to have small lights to look for the water damage tags on their devices. Apple does not provide them, so I'm sure people are just getting the cheapest they can find.

Thanks, Crimson. I was wondering if Apple was working with Lighthound. Shame they're not.
