Arc 4 software lock poll, are you using the lock?
Are you using the semi tactical mode to prevent accidental switch on?
If not is your Arc 4 coming on accidently?

Since I'm using the tailcap mod 1.1 with tactile feel. I use the software lock all the time. Between using the software lock and tail cap being protected by 1.1 mod, mine never comes on accidentally.

I don't use the provided software lock since it is too difficult to use.

I am using semi tac mode to lessen the accidental turn ons. I have even (once) had it come on and say on so I must have inadvertently double clicked it in my pocket.

I would LOVE a better software lock.

I just left mine in normal operation mode. I haven't to date had the light turn on in my pocket. I guess I just load my pockets in the right way. This is with the pocket clip attached and also with it removed.

I don't use the lock-out. I want immediate access to light, without screwing around with unlocking it via the software.

I don't use the lock and never had it come ON other than me turning it ON. Carried my Arc4+ in a Arc pouch till I got a RipOff CO-37 pouch about two weeks ago.

I only had mine for a week. In normal mode, I have kept it in my front left pocket, without the clip, but with the screws, and have not had it turn on.

I'm using semi tac mode. I did have the light switch on in my pocket during the first week that I owned it. I've kept it in semi tac ever since and have had no more such incidents.

I'm not using the lock and it never goes on accidantly.
Anyway it feels godd to have the lock in case of transportation or something like that.

I use the lock - I think it's very easy to set and easier to disable.

My experiences seem to be like those of most others here. The light has never turned on accidentally. Like tusenkonstnar, though, I find it a nice feature for special situations.

Hasn't come on accidentally yet, so no need for semi-tac (tried it, didn't like it) or software lock. Wear it on my belt.

1. My Arc 4+ has come on accidentally a time or two.

2. I have gotten into the habit of always triple-clicking into "dimmest" mode before shutting it off, so that even if it does come on accidentally, there will be very little battery drain.

3. I think the software lock is too tough to use. If I want to ensure it doesn't turn on, I'll loosen the battery pack.

I use semi-tactical, and generally turn it off at level 16. I have never had it come on accidentally, though - the switch on mine (a second) requires a fairly hard push to activate.

Personally I wouldn't like that, since the momentary push action of semi-tac would be soooo dim! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsdown.gif Guess it's not a big deal since you can always double click for normal operation...

I tried and wasn't a big fan of semi-tac mode. I don't use it, and mine has never come on accidently. (knock on wood!) I use the pocket clip and plan on using it that way regardless if a new tail cap comes out etc! Different strokes for different folks!

I may be looking for 4-5 beta testers for my tailcap mod 1.1
You will get improved tactile feel and have a protected switch.

I'll be sending these out at no charge. I just would like some feedback on how they work. I will be limited by the small amount of materials I have left.

I'll anounce later when I'm ready.
