I was digging under my computer desk today and found an Arc AAA that had a loose magnet stuck onto it. I removed the magnet put a fresh battery in it twisted the head and no light! Does anyone know if magnets damage LED's? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/help.gif

Looks like you might have to send it to me, and I'll check it for you... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Seriously though, I don't think Magnets would damage Leds, likely it might need the 'crimp roll' trick. Else check the contacts on both ends to make sure that the old battery didn't leak and cover the contact points with goo. Anyway, check in the Arc thread for the FAQ to troubleshoot your Arc. You'll probably get a better response if you post there about Arcs. Anyhow I think maybe the mods might be moving this thread there soon?

The first thing I would try is another battery. The second would be to clean both contact surfaces and the threads to make sure you are getting good electrical contact.
