I talked to the people in production and it looks like we might have the Arc-AAA UV back in stock by the end of the month. Right now the priority is to get the GS inventory levels back up.

As you can see we have released a small number of custom colored GS.

Thank you for the info Peter.

Will there be other colors as well? Will we see more of the camo bodies?

Thanks again!

What happened to the new UV lights any news?

Will it ever again be possible to order an Arc AAA with a Nichia DS instead of a GS? I really don't like the purple hotspot on the GS.

(maybe you could overdrive the DS a little bit to get that extra 1.5 lumens, too? :))

EDIT: Disregard, I just noticed there's already a thread about this.

Update: The UV is back on the website and in stock. The DS is being discontinued for the brighter GS but we do have a small number in stock if you want to special order it (email us).

Any chance of something in the 365nm range?

I'd also be interested in this in 365nm and wonder if there are any plans to produce that? I don't know if suitable LEDs exist to produce that light in that wavelength.

@Morelite, According to the Arc-AAA UV page it is the Nichia NSPU510CS (375nm UV LED). According to the Nichia UV-LEDs page it looks like that LED generates significantly greater output than either of the 365nm lamp type LEDs they produce, if I'm interpreting the data correctly.

FYI, I have a thread here that lists several lights advertised as 365nm.

ok, sorry for the delay: we are out of stock on the UV right now. The reason is that the AAA Titanium is taking longer than we expected on our machines and this has created a backlog of Aluminum work (which is done on the same machines). This is effecting the UV the most and I suspect it could delay stock for at least another month until we get caught up. We have all the other parts, this is the one thing holding up final assembly on the UV. My apologies.

I have one of the ArcUV AAA lights with the nichia 375nm, amazing at making things glow compared the other uv lights I used to own.

Definitely worth waiting for!!

Disappointed to see that the Arc-UV is out of stock at the moment.

When will it reappear?

I to am looking forward to obtaining an Arc-AAA UV. Finally got around to installing a trit in the tail of my Arc6. The Arc-AAA UV would have come in handy, but there was plenty of sunshine today so not a big deal. :)

Spoke to an Arc CSR. She said maybe October? Got a cheap $20 UV light (including shipping) which does the job just as well as the Arc UV is supposed to (3 minutes and it's hard) but it uses 3 AAA batteries. Not small. I'm still in for the Arc UV when it's available again . . . just don't tell the wife! :sssh::whistle:

Ok, it's October . . . I'm excited about Halloween, as always, but looking even more forward to my first Arc light. Anyone know if the UV is available yet?

Should be soon. Last I checked with Maria the heads were done but the housings were being lasered.
