My old Arc LS Premium clicky tail cap has failed. The light is *always*
on.

And of course the rubber end piece is disintegrating.

Is is possible to get a replacement?

In any case all is not lost. I had the foresight to buy a brass screw on
tail piece but it does not match the body ;(

Thanks for any tips

Jerry

It's called a Kroll switch, I think you can still get them at The Sandwich Shoppe....

I am not familiar with that model. Maybe Arc can help you out with the part you need?

Unscrew the switch, pull off the rubber boot. Check the spring in the side and turn play with them. Put it together and see if it works. If it does, you got a old spare :) The nice thing about the kroll is that you can reach most of the springs and stuff, so it might not be hard to see/fix the problem if you choose to open it.

Thanks all, I have ordered the Kroll clicky.

Well I got the Kroll and it fixed the problem...

Last night I was checking the 'stuff' drawer in my dresser and found a baggy
containing three of the rascals ;(
