Go to Surefire.com

They sell good 123 batteries for $1.25 per battery ($15 for a 12-pack).

We get more in the distant future but for now they are more trouble than they are worth. The cells tie up funds we could be using to make more Arc4s.

Peter

Peter,
This isn't a complaint, or a judgement of your business decisions, but the lack of batteries has affected my purchasing decisions. I've had an Arc 4 second (plus other lights) in a shopping cart more than once & aborted the transaction because I needed batteries & they were not there. I would have purchased something else with them, but since I was primarily looking for 123s it made no sense to purchase the flashlights.
Andy

That kinda sounds amusing. "I was looking to buy a car but since spare tires were out of stock, I aborted the transaction" Only a true flashaholic... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Andy,
I can understand your frustration, the Arc4 has no cheap 123s or an AA tailpack. The Surefire 123s are decent batteries an run around $1.25 each. The other thing you can do, just wait until all the Arc4s and AAA/AAs roll out. Peter should be adding the 123s in a few months.

Huh /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thinking.gif, If you're primarily looking for batteries, maybe you should be looking somewhere where they primarily sell batteries, like Batterystation, SureFire, cheapbatteries.com, etc, etc.

Peter

It was more a case that I needed batteries & was willing to buy something else with them. I see no reason to pay shipping from two places when I can get it all from one. I did buy my batteries from Batterystation last time. Before that I purchased some from Arc & I purchased other items at the same time. My interest is not be high enough to purchase them w/o the primary purchase since I have to pay an additional shipping fee.

jhereg:

I understand what you mean. When I order something online, unless it includes free shipping, I usually try to see what else I can buy from the store to help defray the shipping costs a little bit. Also, in my case, I have to pay depot holding fees because I usually ship items to the States and I live in Canada ($$ Fedex and UPS brokerage fees /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif).

Having said that, SureFire does offer free shipping on over $99 purchases--but then you probably don't need 72+ 123s? Hmm... maybe that'll work for me /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/broke.gif

But, ARC not carrying 123s won't stop me from buying their products when I need them--the 123s where just a nice "bonus" item that I could order. I see where you're coming from, though.

CM, sometimes a true (and I man TRUE) Flashoholic will buy a new light just to go with batteries they happen to have around -- as I did once when I found a coupla 8-packs of C cells! But don't have the batteries nor the light any more now, sheesh...
