Yesterday some "ASUCELL Rechargeable Protected 3.7V 3000mAh Lithium 18650 Batteries (2-Pack)" appeared on the DX-Website (sku.42153, $14.10).

Did anyone hear about that Brand before? I found some more Infos on the Alibaba-Website, stating that its 18.2x69mm. Found nothing about the true capacity though...

The only company that makes 3000mAH "True capacity" 18650's is Samsung. They are very expensive, and are not protected. They also have a max charging voltage of 4.35v, so 99% of chargers out there can't fully charge them. I would say that these are probably similar to your typical xfire 3000mAH cells that really are about 2500mah.

Sounds like a knock-off of Accucel (sold at Batterystation or Batteryspace or Batteryjunction)
If you do get them, please report on live findings :)
Duglum, if you'd like a high performing cell with excellent quality assurance, you can pick up AW's cells in the CPF marketplace.

I know about the Cells from AW and currently use the Black/Red 2400mAh Trustfires. Was just curious about those cells. :)

Maybe i'll buy a pair and post some results, but i fear i don't have the equipment needed to create those shiny discharge graphs.

Well if you want someone to test one of them, you can send one to me and I can graph it on my CBA.

That's a kind offer, thank you. But i guess since sending it to the US would cost more then getting the Cells to Germany, i'm too cheap. :grin2:

interesting. i am going to bet it's about 2400mah

only true 2900mah+ 4.2 cell is from panasonic

Hmm , are you talking about these batteries
If its a good quality Chinese cell , it might go 2600mA , just wish they would stop mis-representing capacity .

Ive done a fair bit of shopping in the last week or so , , so may put them on the to buy list , only took about 6 months to buy a R&B Trustfire .
So I wont be buying anything for a while .

I have tried these cells - they are the best 3000mAh 18650 I have tried and seem to be the stated capacity. They also make the best single cell SSC P7 flashlight I have seen. It also seems to be around the stated 900 Lumen output, it's twice as bright as Ultrafire, Trustfire, MTE, or Aurora. The 3000mAh cells will run their flashlight for over 2 hours on high.
I highly recommend these cells
Normally I would not doubt my CPF mate, but you are new, and it seems like a tad bit biasted.

I know of no p7 that can do more than 700 OTF lumens, and never 900.

Do you by any chance cell these or ebay/elsewhere or make them?:)

Seems some guy did a discharge-test, he posted it on the DX-Forums.

He measured 3052mAh , but he discharged the cell down to the protection cut-off (maybe 2.2V) :sick2:.
Wonder what the capacity to 3.6V is...

i suppose if u charge even lower it can yield 3500:p

Another test from DX-Forums. 2970 and 2910 mAh to 2,9V. Very good result but there's one issue - very high internal resistance. Cells got warm (40°C) @0,5A discharge current (which is quite low).

They got warm when charging them @0.5A, but the discharge current was 2A and they got a bit less warm then.
