AW IMR 26500 Benefits??

All,

I've tried to find what Info I could on these batteries and have not found anything that compares them to chemistries/batteries I already know, so I'm unsure of the benefits vs, say, protected AW 18650's or RCR123 Lithium-ions.

I gather they are unprotected and have less resistance... beyond that, why would I want to use this battery to drive soemthing like a Malkoff M30 or Dereelight XP-G drop in? Any benefits/pitfalls?

I ask because I like the host sizes and styles and have actually just purchased a host for these batteries, so any info would be helpful in understanding what these C cell sized batteries can do and do well.
