Enlightened
First i had an AW14500 with a crooked bottomplate
this one has been replaced by fenixstore(Good service, thanks)
the second one i got from them had a sharp welding spot on top
i have read at least one person who ruined his Nitecore DI with exactly the same issue.
i tried to remove the sharp point by just sand it really slow(not like the person with the Nitecore because he sanded it way to much)
guess what, the whole strip came loose.
there is a tiny hole in the strip at the point were the welding took place
apparently this spotwelding is not done like it should.
if done properly both the strip and the topbutton should melt together
in my example the spotwelding probably burned a small hole in the strip and left some residu metal which did not melt with either the button or the strip
i was able to solder it back together but i really think AW should look into this
these batteries are just to expensive to have these issues.
both the lifepo4's and the trustfire 14500's i own have way better top buttons.
AW please look into this.
also let me know if the repair i did is save(did not head the top button up to much so the plastic is still intact.
