I generally prefer CR123 lights, but I would like to have a decent 1xAA - mostly to check if my rarely-used AA batteries are charged 
I recently got an Icon Modus 1, but I find it way too bulky for what it is. However, the light modes of 5 and 50 lumens (or whatever it is) are useful, and the UI is nice. And I got it with taxes and all for less than $30 from a local store.
Question is, are there lights of similar or better quality at roughly the same price? For example, Fenix LD10 at roughly $50 and with a ton more light modes is not in the same class in my opinion, but rather a level above, and not something I want to buy given I care little for AA battery lights. So I am not looking for a cheap 1xAA but rather for a decent one which is not expensive. Advice?
