hey guys i have both a fenix tk10 and 11 i use them quite frequently to walk my dog and while hunting and camping with my dad. the only problem is that i went through a case of sf 123 batteries(12 batteries) in under a week! keeping these lights on is becoming very expensive(im 16) any suggestions on where to get cheap cells or rechargeables that are compatible with my lights?

For the TK10, 2x AW RCR123a Protected 750 mAh.
Tk11 AW 18650 Protected 2200 mA.
Since you live Houston, you can call "lighthound" and go to them and buy.

Anyone want to guess where this thread should have been posted rather than in the LED Flashlights section? A clue can be found in the title.

Moving it...

Cheapest SF 123 from a Houston B&M is Lowe's at $4.99 for a 2pk.

Cheapest non-SF 123 from a Houston area B&M is Academys, Streamlight brand at $4.59 for a 2pk.

I am curious, how much light do you need when:

Walking the dog?
Hunting?
Camping?

I have a feeling you do not need the 200+ lumens the TK lights can give when doing all this tasks. I have a feeling the 60 lumens the lights can give on low is still too much for what you are doing most of the time.

A suggestion would be to use lights that have low modes that give you just the right amount of light on low or medium and sip battery power, like the P3D.

or

Use lights that use cheaper battery types like the L2D that uses AA.
