battery AA and malkoff expectation

so i was thinking of getting a malkoff which on 3 cells its regulated on 1 amp 4 cells at 1.1a .....now i thought of getting a 1d mag and use a 3AA 1d adapter and put E2 lithiums in there so fresh 1.7 x 3= 5.1v and unlike alks e2 obviously adds so much more runtime than alks ....now my question for battery experts is how much runtime will the E2 give me using the malkoff

could i get more than 1.5 hours? maybe 2 or more
