A while back I recall seeing small Pelican style boxes sized to hold various sizes of batteries.
I'm particularly interested in a box to store 123 Cells.
Anybody know where I can find these?
Thanks,
Lenny

Lots of nice cases with batteries from Pelican and Otterbox here.

If you scroll down a bit you will see your options.

Lighthound has some of them too + other good solutions to carrying batteries.
There are 3 pages to scroll through.

Enjoy,
Benny

I am going to suggest Lighthound. I put an order in with them almost once a week, they have VERY good service....and they have the Pelican case you are looking for.

I've ordered several of these from here without any problems. Some folks have
had issues with Botach but all my orders have been followed by fast shipping and
great customer support.

I picked up 2 of the Pelican 1010 cases with the 15 CR123A foam inserts. They're great. Lighthound offers top notch servcice, I highly recommend! Maybe we can ask if he can get the CR123A foam inserts for the 1020 cases.

On another note, I picked up a couple of the CR123A cases from inanycase.com as they're a bit more portable. Thet AAA and Batuca cases are great as well.

Is there anything like this for AA's? I looked at all the sites in this thread.

I've not seen any pre-cut AA foam inserts for the Pelican cases, you could make one with the Pick N' Pluck foam. IMO, it would be overkill to store AAs in a Pelican case as you don't have toxic gas venting (unless you're using the cases to store LiIon 14500 AA cells).

For standard AA Alkaline and NiMH cells, I use this:

yea, I've bought those kind before but they don't hold much and don't have the real hinge like the pelican/otter cases.

CT - Like you, l use the hard insert cases you show below. I have several each for AAA, AA, CR2, and 123 to use with NiMHs and primaries. In addition, I use the 12 x AA and 12 x 123 hard plastic cases offered by Amondotech. I find them to be easily stackable and nicely made. KK

It's hard to tell by the pictures on the web site, do the Amondotech cases have metal pins in the hinges?

Pelican cases feature an overpressure valve to release internal pressure.

Chris - I had to go look. Nope, the hinges are entirely plastic. I assume that this is the answer you were hoping for. :) These cases are well made with quality materials. The inside is made of a material very similar to the insides on the yellow case you have. It is soft, but not too soft. I have three - 2 for AA NiMHs, and 1 x 123 for Titanium and Streamlight primaries. I have no complaints. Regards. Kirk

Thanks guys.
On the Batuca cases: do they clip together end to end.
Some of the pix seem to show them with lids at opposite ends.
So, either they clip together, come that way with 2 openings, or they are just
layed end to end for the picture.
Which is it?
Thanks again.

Available from Amondotech: For storage & transport I use hardshell cases for 123s & AAs that pack smaller than Pelican offering. Since I primarily use rechargeables w/alki's or Lithium's for back up, Pelican's larger capacities aren't needed for my routine travel needs.

For versatile and minimalist transport I use the Batuca cases. Usually w/(4) 123s and (4) AAs.

They attach via tunnel rail.

surefire battery holders are great and also hold a lamp assembly but i dont know if that counts as a box.gc.

Not that I've seen.

I thought I would buy some of that foam and put it in a taller box but noticed that they don't have one that is just a little taller, they get bigger in all dimensions.
