Battery differences?

I'm looking to max out the power on my 3 fenixes and am struggling with battery options - is there someone who can just say what's right or wrong? I want higher brightness if possible, and a 50% drop in runtime is not a problem in exchange.

(i) Fenix L0d (rebel) - currently running on 1.2v NiMh (Q) Can I run it on something like a 3.6v LiOn and see higher brightness?

(ii) Fenix L2d (rebel 100) - currently running on 2x 1.2v NiMh (Q) Can I run it on 2x AA 14500 LiOn (or maybe 1x 14500 and a dummy cell) and see higher brightness (dont use the low modes).

(iii) Fenix T1 (Q5) - currently running on 2x 3.0v primaries (Q) Can I use 2x 3.7v RCR LiOn and see higher brightness?

Cheers :twothumbs

You can run a 10440 battery in the L0D-CE. Runtime would be around 10 minutes on high and you have to be careful not to overdischarge the batteries.

2 14500 batteries will fry the L2D. Use 1 14500 and a spacer or buy a L1D body. You will loose the lower modes until the battery is almost flat. A RCR123 battery with a P2D body would also work.

The T1 has a buck circuit so increasing the voltage won't increase the output.

Be careful though, the Rebels have a lower Vf so they will draw more current then the Crees. So don't run the lights(L0D-Rebel 80 and L2D) with Li-ion batteries for long.
