Were does one find a 4000MAH Nimh battery for the MagCharger or at least 1/2 D cells at this rating?

Thank you! I used google to search various word phrases and found nothing. Not a bad price, the stock battery goes for around that price for retail.

Batteries Wholesale website indicates that online ordering won't be available until Monday, Sept 24, 2007....

They list 3500 mah and 4000 mah 1/2 D cells here and 3500 mah Magcharger packs here.

Off topic, but they also list "C" and "D" size adaptors for AA batteries here.

^ could i use those adapters and a bunch of AA's in my Magcharger? (stock bulb)? because i have a whole wack of rechargable NiMH AA's already...

Only 17.00 for shipping to the US for up to 500g

Good luck getting one from batterieswholesale.com. I've heard from two people that they are no longer selling! So I have to wonder why they still have the website up and running. I'll bet that Sept 24 will come and go just like the Feb date and the May date and the June 18 dates did. They have been saying "Online ordering not avail. until xxx" for almost a year now even though they change the "until" date every few months. I would really like to have several of their 6 volt sticks but I've given up on them.:shakehead

Hope you all have better luck than I did. And, if you do, please post your results so we may all fill our one half D cell needs!

Edit: Under the "Buying Online" tab at the top of the website they list a $400 floor for ordering. So, maybe they don't want to sell to us small taters.

I've picked them up (stock Ni-Cads) from various "Batteries Plus" stores around town. I don't remember the price, but it was reasonable. No Ni-Mh unless you have them build you one, which may be a good idea... But how to charge it up?

The stock charger will work!
