Battery holder ? 8AA

I am going through all of my lights seeing what state they are all in. Batteries, bulbs and such.

Does anyone know how the batteries go in this? It is 3-4 years old and was for a modded M@g I have. Honestly not sure what this light was. I think it was the one that could burn newspaper back then...

I got it. Took some time with a meter to figure it out.
And boy is that light bright. :eek:

It looks like a Modamag unit. Mine (6AA series to 2D) is marked Modamag on the positive end. IIRC, you could order them wired different ways, so it pays to use the meter.

Very similar to first run of 9.6 volt 8AA to 2D and second run of 8AA to 2D

Limited quantity of regulated 8AA offered here long time ago.
