Placed an order on Friday 20Nov2009 with next day air so I would receive on Monday 23Nov2009 for some Holiday gifts of a handful of ITP A3 EOS (very cool little lights by the way), and well you can't place an order without getting something for yourself :twothumbs .

So I purchased the Lumapower Incendio V3 R2 (WC/WD). Well low and behold I open my door at about 10am this morning and wow look at that, box waiting. I open box up like a kid at Christmas (as usual) pull all the ITPs out of the way (not before opening one of course and testing it) and get to the Lumapower Incendio V3 only to find the box labeled Incendio V3 Q3-5C which is the warm emitter version. Check the packing slip and find that my order states that I ordered the "LumaPower Incendio V3 LED Flashlight 1XCR123A w. Cree R2 WD, 150 lumens-250L on 1 x RCR123a!"
Then below that line it states "LED: Q3 5A" Nothing else on packing slip mentions any substitution or back order of R2 version.

Just checked Battery Junction online and the R2 is now back ordered.
Now granted of course I might be a little upset considering Battery Junction even called me late in the day on Friday before shipping out to verify my shipping address to make sure it got to me on time as I was shelling out a pretty penny for next day air. But it would have been nice to know that if they didn't have what I was specifically ordering. So that I could have either had the choice for what I got (R2 or Q3 5A or picked something else out or even Canceled that part of the order.

Now before anyone tells me that all you need to do is call Battery Junction and they will take care of it, I am aware of that as I have dealt with Battery Junction before and have always been very satisfied with there service and I will continue to order from them because I know they will always take care of there customers.

Now the Pro of this whole situation is that I have never owned a Warm emitter before and this will be interesting to do some testing with it since I have it before I decide what I want to do with it.

This is the wrong place for any type of rant. Move it to the Jeers local.

I have had only one purchase with Battery Junction and that went badly and I returned the item and got charged 25% for restocking the crappy item. Its the first and last time I'll do buisness with them.

Mods feel free to move this as I had a brain fart when initially posting this. I will be completing a review of this Incendio V3 Tomorrow sometime after I have had some time to evaluate it in comparison to some other lights after the sun goes down. If you would like I can complete a review of the light under a separate thread as to not take the original thread off topic.

Well I have been delayed in replying back in for the review of this light.

After much playing with this light as a EDC, I would say that for myself I am not a huge fan of this as a primary EDC, but would most definitely keep this as a backup to a primary EDC.

The reason for this is opinion of course. The light level changing and the design of clicky tail on this has caused me to change levels on this accidentally when drawing and turning on. I believe this to be primarily due to the size of the Incendio. When grasped in my hand my four fingers fit over it perfectly but when I activate it with my thumb I have accidentally changed modes when turning it on. I find the switch to be almost a little difficult to click on all the way and that has caused most of the unwarranted mode changes.

Okay now on to my original complaint about not getting the R2 and getting the warmer Q3 5A. I will admit that the warmer tint is really nice. In fact I had a friend comment on the tint when I used this in front of him. He said I thought you only used Leds, I laughed and told him it was Led. Explained about how vast Leds are getting and so on with him. Having the warmer tint is nice for color spectrum accuracy when looking at contrasting backgrounds. Now I personally would trade the warm tint for a neutral tint with 50+ more lumens.

Size comparision L-R SF123, LP Incendio V3, SL Microstream, Inova X1 Gen3, Jetbeam Pro III ST R2, Surefire C2, 4seven Quark Tactical 18650.

Threads and Internal of battery contact on head (threads are clean and well cut, would not be easy to cross thread).

The business end (the OP creates a nice semi smooth beam with some minor cree rings)

Tail side with clip showing (I was worried about the clip being sturdy but have to say it really is, regardless of how it appears).

In hand next to Surefire C2 for comparison.

In hand by itself.

In hand, fingers closed for grip around light.

Good to hear the clip is sturdy. That's the first picture I've seen!

I'm awaiting my review sample and look forward to checking it out. I liked the Connexion X2 so I'm stoked to see how they have improved the Incendio.
