Smart RC Rechargeable Battery Pack Charger For 1.2V - 14.4V(RC900)

http://www.batteryjunction.com/rc900.html

I did a search, but couldn't find a thing on it.

Does anyone here know if this is a decent charger? It will be used for 9AA Eneloops in a Fivemaga holder.

Thanks,

Greg

Bump. I was hoping for an answer on this as well. Even if no one has used it, any theories? Obviously the 900 mA charge rate is a little low for some cells, but should be just fine for Eneloops.
Hmm, doesn't appear to come with a power supply that I can tell?

It comes with a power supply, and the jack is the right size to plug into a Fivemega battery pack.

I used it for the first time tonight with some Eneloops, and the batteries got very hot towards the end of the cycle. Almost too hot to hold. The charger did not have a normal termination. It ended up on an "error". The red LED was flashing slowly which means, according to the instructions, that the battery voltage was too high.

I don't think I like this charger because of how hot it allows the batteries to get. It might be ok if watched closely, but it's defintely not a charger I'd leave on all night.

I only lost $25.

The end of charge voltage for the pack of 12 batteries is 17.1 volts, which would average 1.425 volts per battery. I know absolutely nothing about battery charging except how to plug one in, so I don't know if this is considered overcharged or not. Maybe someone can chime in that knows. There very well could be some individual cells in the pack that are overcharged.
