Beam Shaper

I guess everyone has seen my other thread and a million questions on my first light. I settled on the Aleph2/LuxIII/750/1x123 as you've seen but someone said something bout a beam shaper. Just wondering how much of a mod is this and is it worth it. The Shoppe has a complete light of what I want but i figure I'd have to put the Shaper on if I wanted it.

The Surefire F04 beamshaper slips right on to the front of the Aleph 2 head.

Slips on the back too, for storage. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif (only works on the standard Mc2es that is the same OD as the head).

Make your own with holographic diffusers from Wavefront Technologies and Physical Optics Corporation. Astra also sells professional Claire diffusers. If you want glass, Schott makes some nice glass based low loss diffusers too.
