Super video! Man alive, your custom Vector 192 BFL is an absolute BEAST!

HID spotlights are just so much fun!

Thanks, I loved it. I got a bit creeped out when I recognized my Under Armour beanie and heard my favourite music.

Andreas,

I purchased the YAO HID from someone on CPF, but I believe that person is out of the business.

YAO has a website, but they been having some issues with it. I believe they are still in business. I'll look to see if I can find another YAO dealer and post it on this thread.

Very nice, great video with some top end HIDs. A bit underexposed, but not to bad:eek:: From first hand observation my 35 watt Oracle can reach out to about 298 yards, it's not to bright out there, but I can defiantly see branches on trees and stuff at that range. It's no thrower but 400 feet is no problem for it:thumbsup:.

Great job Mike.
I might have to mod my VEC 192 now that I see the results from yours. I'm happy to see that the VEC still had good tight throw as I didn't know what to expect from the smaller dual reflectors.
Keep up the good work and post some more beamshots if and when you take some more pictures.

Thanks for all the positive support. It was a challenge taking pictures in many respects, such as finding dark places without light polution, large open areas with "targets", weather conditions, etc. Parks tend to close at dusk, and I found out the local law enforcement guys do not like people shooting pictures late at night (they did like my pretty HID's). I also had the challenge of finding a decent camera. My point-n-shot could not cut the low light setting. I ended up borrowing my buddy's older Minolta digital SRL, which was mostly manual. No dumby mode for "night landscape" like the newer cameras incorporate, and I struggled quite a bit trying to get a decent shot (exposure & foucs issues). I might consider picking up a Nikon D5000 in a few months, and give it another go.

Thanks,
Mike
