Well, for starters, can RCR123s be used in SUREFIRE/STREAMLIGHT lights?

IF so:
a) who has/makes the most reliable rechargeable 123s?
b) who has the most reliable charger?
c) and of course, WHERE do you get them?

Most important requirement is one that I don't have to be there with a stop watch timming everything. Some combination to where if i leave them on there and forget & don't remember until the next day, everything will be ok. No fires, no frying the battery, etc..... Oh yeah, also, one where I don't have to worry about frying the battery if i over-discharge it too.

Thanks

For SureFire I don't know, as they have incan and LED lights. I think the answer depends on what light you are talking about.

From the Streamlight FAQ:

Q: Can I use rechargeable CR123 batteries in any of the Streamlight flashlights?
A: No. Streamlight products are optimized and the components can be damaged or destroyed by the use of anything other than the recommended battery type. The use of improper or substandard lithium batteries can be especially dangerous.

Then you will want to get protected cells.
