Hi,

What NIMH C cells are the ones to buy?
I am considering the 5000mAh Maha or the 6000mAh ACCUPOWER NiMH's . Is one better then the other (besides the larger capacity) anything else recommended?
Also for me a low discharge rate would be important.

Which charger to use for C cells, I know there are some very nice ones at $49+, but are there cheaper chargers that would be recommended?

So far the charger I am thinking about is the Accu-Power Combination Battery Charger (AP2020), or the Maha MH-C808M, but would like to buy something cheaper (but still good quality) if it exists.

Thanks.

Before I had my Maha C808m, I used a Vanson BC1HU charger. It worked reliably, although with the highest capacity D cells you might need to unplug it after about 10 hours so it could restart and finish the charge, due to the timer stopping the charge before it is fully charged. Other than that small inconvenience, I do like that charger. It is not the fastest charger, but it does a good job on the cells you charge in it.
The main reason I really like the C808m is because you don't necessarily need to wait overnight to get a full charge (although you can if you want to). I usually use the slower setting, because I believe that batteries will last longer if you charge them slower, and I am normally not in that big of a rush.
