Best D NiMH Cell?

What's the best or at least most popular D NiMH cell?

I have experience with CTA 9000 MaH cells, They seem to be OK. Anything better I can get?

The CTA 12000mAh and Accupower 11500mAh are the best to my knowledge.

I think the highest capacity cells are the CTA 12000 mah cells. Titanium also makes some 12000 mah cells, but I havent tried them.

Best for what?

• Best for capacity?
• Best for low self discharge?
• Best for highest cycle life?
• Best for taking drops and bumps?
• Best for demanding, high current applications?
• Best for general utility at a low cost?
• Best to use with a cheap charger?

Each of the above is a valid criterion for many users and no NiMH will be the end-all and be-all for the whole group.
