best drop in for MAG

For $75 or less, what is the best drop in I can get for a 3 D Maglight?

And what would be the price jump be to step up to a much brighter drop in, and what would that drop in be? Is there a good drop in with a P7 or MC-E?

This is for a non flashaholic friend who will be using alkalines.

I started a thread on this a couple days ago... Malkoff devices sells a drop-in for $55. Its a SSC P4 with like 240+ lumens... Super high quality and awesome recommendations from everyone here. I think this is your best bet.

I don't think I want the Rebel Mag. I will look into the Malkoff.

There's the Terralux and Nite-Ize drop-ins.

the malkoff p4 looks pretty damn good for that price range, and it can run off of 3 NIMHs so you dont need to fit your light for exotic batteries.
