is there a good quality small light that can take the abuse of being on your key chain?

you can choose to get it in stainless steel.

lug body style, is the most compact, and ideal for keychain carry. no tailstanding though.

now you can get a QTC model, which is infinite variable brightness, just keep twisting the bezel tighter, and the light gets brighter.

Pocket body is the most compact style, I may be wrong but I've never seen Logan in Lug style, perhaps your thinking of the keychain body.

Peak Logans have not been produced in the lug style, and the pocket bodies can't be carried on a keychain. The keychain bodied Logan is longer and heavier than the pocket bodies, but in SS can definitely take much more abuse than is dished out by keys and gates and drops and such.
 
I've seen a lot of people carrying an Quark Mini 123 on their keyring on several EDC blogs. I think that or the Fenix E15 are nice keychain lights for a decent price. Other lights might add a lot of bulk, but there perhaps others here have even better suggestions.

actually, i may be wrong. never owned a Logan, but have had Eigers.

from my understanding on the Eigers, the lug body was smaller than the keychain body.

ive also tried a Quark Mini 123 on my keys, the ano didnt hold up well. and i didnt care for the back and forth twisting, as well as the mode skipping heheh

It's not really possible for a body to be shorter than the pocket body anything else adds to the length. Lug is shorter than keychain because of the internal screw set up on the keychain body.

How about the Fenix LD01 or E05? If you want a Peak the Eiger would probably be better.

SS LD01 :) love mine, good suggestion a great keychain light, not too sure how we got onto the Peak Logan way to big for keychain use, thanks for putting things back on track AaronG.

I think this light is way overpriced, it is 300 Euro in europe and produce only 70 Lumen max. You can get a decent custom light for that price, too bad that lummi cant do the job anymore.


I would have said 4sevens CR2 Mini Ti for keychain but with CR123 i would buy 4sevens Mini123 satin titanium.
Or see also the new Fenix E15 light (140 ANSI Lumen), similar to 4sevens 123 mini

I wish they still made the FENIX P1CE . One mode flashlight , maybe it's not using the most efficient emitter - CREE Q2 - but if you need REGULATION with primaries CR123 ... that's the light I recommend !
The runtime is 1:40hrs .
SUREFIRE E1L - also a flashlight regulated for 3+ hrs with a primary CR123 - can't be considered a keychain .
Are there many small lights regulated with primaries CR123 ??
 
It depends on your definition of Quality. You ask for quality, then ask for rugeddness. I would say that the T1A is very high quality, with nice smooth threads, and excellent finish. Also a good sturdy light.

As for the Qmini 123, I would say it is a good light, a very good light. So good in fact that I have several tints in both the 123 and the CR2 formats, as well as the miniX. However, between some sloppy threads, skipping modes, and quite a lot of wear on my CR2 Warm Keychain carry I wouldn't say they are the Best Quality

Seems I've really lost the plot today, I just consider a CR123 a keychain light, a little on the large size, maybe that's where I went wrong. :fail:

I liked the itp A3 so well i tried the iTP Light A1 EOS SS CR123 LED Flashlight. I like it way better than the A3. Its really not that big. The run time is alot more than the A3. Modes start out low,mid,high just what i prefer.
I carry it every single day using 16340 li-ion. I have had it for over a year and its seen lots of abuse. Still works as good as the day i received it.
Its even ran threw the washing machine a time or two. All vouch for it being water proof. Wife tested it. Very affordable to beat around.
Just my 2 cents.

Since he didn't mention brightnest or cheapest keychain light, but best quality primary cr123a on a keychain, I think you win this round. I'd have one myself if someone in the custom section would just make some type of tailstandable tailcap for it! They teased us with a feeler thread about it for a while, then said nevermind.

scout24 (Muysondt Nautilus) and freq18hz (T1A Titan) have made the two best suggestions, IMO. :)

Both are high quality lights, and you won't go wrong with either. I don't know Peak, but their reputation is very good and I have no doubt they are up there too.
