BIKE LIGHT LED - Rechargable Floody

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As above please.

Recommendation for cheapish LED flooders for use on Mountain Bikes.

Needs to be rechargable and preferably 25 or 30mm body diameter for handle bar & Helmet mounting.

This is for a friend who bought my SF U2 and tried it on his bike and loved the floody wall of light and the range.

Any recommendations (and links) would be great.

However, doesnt want it to be the same spend as the U2 as there are 2 bikes and that is getting expensive.

Many thanks

Looman

DX do a very good 'Zoomable' light. X2000 I think its called. Cree P4 and 1x 18650. On full flood it offers a huge poole of bright artifactless light that is idea for mountain biking. You'll get a good 2 hours out of it. There's also a 3x AAA versin if you're a bit nervous about using lithiums, but you'lll probably only get 1 hour per charge.

I recently when out with one of these strapped onto my crash helmet and it was fine for everything but high speed rocky decents.

Highly recommended and only £13 including delivery to UK.

I was going to recommend a Wolf Eyes Sniper P7 until I saw "cheapest" in your requirements.

So poke around DX and look at their generic P7's. There is a lot of discussion here that I'm not up on so I can't speak for their quality but if I was a night bike rider, the P7 would be my first choice. Cars would "highbeam" you in complaint !!
