So, I was browsing around Target and I noticed Black and Decker marketing a Lithium Ion battery pack. I looked around their website to see if I could turn up any more info but I haven't come up with much yet.
One thing that struck me as interesting is the battery packs I saw in the store had a USB plug in, which isn't all that interesting, but also an AC outlet plug... a bit more interesting imo. An inverter built into some models. Doubt I'll be powering up my microwave on these things though.
The size of the packs look to be about the size of 2 18650's and it is listed at 7 volts. I'd guess that these are LifePo4 cells, but it is just a guess at this point. The packs were ~$20, even the ones wit the inverter if I remember right. Charger was $30 with one battery pack.
While probably not incredibly useful for a flashlight in stock form it's worth looking into further IMO. Anyone have any more info on these? The Black and decker flashlight that is compatible with these things is a 3x5mm LED beast. :thumbsdow
