Blackhawk Gladius / RCR123A batteries?

Stupid question, can the Blackhawk Gladius run on RCR123A batteries at 4.2V each without damage to the light?

i cant say yes, but i run mine on tenergy 3.0 v rechargeables just to be safe.

So this means that the AW RCR123A protected at 4.2v are not OK? As said earlier, I'm new to all this, but vary facinating.

I bought a Night-Ops Gladius 2.5+ years ago and gave it to my son, along with 4 RCR123A 3.0 v protected regulated cells and a charger from e-lectronics.net, for use as his always-on-the-duty-belt light. My son works a LOT of 0dark:30 shifts and call-outs, and this set-up STILL impresses our partners - mind you, many of them are either using Mag 3 D or Polystinger!
