Boost driver for the SSt-90???

Who's gonna be the first to offer one?
Would be spectacular with a 42120 LiFe cell and give an awesome formfactor.

Given some losses it will drive a SST90 at max. for a full hour.

Nothing like a challenge.

Certainly is a nice big cell with lots of power.

There aren't too many power management ICs that can even attempt that. If you want it short term, I would be tempted to use a DCC voltage booster to 5 Volts, then resistor it down. Even that will be challenging to find.

I got a degree in electronics a generation ago, not much of it left :shrug:
Some PWM combined with hefty FET's and a stepup coil bla. bla.
Me no good at that anymore, i just hope that someone with more brains and less beer in their head than me will pick up the glove.
