If any of you fine folks use a breakaway neck lanyard to carry your Photon II's and other light gear, I'd like to know what kind you use, what you think of it, and where you bought it.

There's a ton of lanyards out there and I'd like to separate the wheat from the chafe.

I'd definitey be carrying a Photon II, maybe a small thermometer/compass and whistle, and possibly a Spyderco Dragonfly.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

you can order a breakaway lanyard right from the photon site. it looks like the same type people wear to my work. if its the same as the ones I've seen it should be high quality. I don't even have a photon but I want one of those lanyards cause I can't find them anywhere. people have suggested sporting goods stores to me but i havent been out to look. i found a cheap one at walmart that seems to be serving its purpose.

Try using leather shoe lace cord. It's cheap and easily available. The leather will break if you put enough tension on it, but when, is up to many factors including age, thickness etc.

If you really would like to do it up with class.....
Go to leather shop and get a nice piece of leather, thread the end through the Photon and finish it off with a "Snugloc"
Do a search with GOOgle on snugloc and find store/s that sell. They are hiker shoe laces that will not trip you. I use the ends for many things.
