Brightest Red LED

What is the brightest red LED (that's not an amber or some kind of orange)? :thumbsup:

Probably the Cree MC-E or XP-E.

Lumileds (Luxeon) may also have strong contenders for red LED's but they have been trailing behind Cree technology for white LEDs and I assume the same for colored.

Hi - not sure if they are the brightest, but LEDEngin makes some pretty bright ones.

luminus devices makes a red SST-90, i know its the largest single die red LED i dunno how the efficiency/output stack up, but i'm pretty sure it has ridiculous amounts of lumens
