I ordered four Brinkman 5/3/2 flashlights along with a 5D Brinkman. The 5/3/2 body sections will not fit a standard 5D body. The 5/3/2 body sections are larger in diameter than the standard body. 4 AA cells will just barely fit into the standard 5D body with a lot of force. On the other hand, 4 AA cells slide easily into the 5/3/2 body sections with a little bit of slop. I fit two 5/3/2 bodies together to make a 10D. It looks out of place with the standard reflector/head. Now I've got to figure what to do with it.

If you want to run a hotwire bulb in it, you'll need to upgrade the reflector and lens. Good luck finding something that fits, since the head is smaller than a Mag head. If you do find a solution, please post about it, I'm curious to know.

How rigid is the 10D tube? Do you notice any flex in the joints?

The joint's are tight! The 5/3/2 tube sections wall thickness appears to be heavier than the standard Brinkman or a Mag-lite wall thickness but I need to measure to be sure.
