Brinkman Legend mods?

I've got an E1-HA, E2 (gun-metal), X5T, and Brinkman Legend in my "redundant flashlights" pile.

I was thinking about using them as "donors" for flashlight mods. Probably starting with the Brinkman, just because it's the least-expensive.

Any suggestions on where to start? Beginner / newbie here.

Search for threads about using Dat2Zips BadBoy400 Q3L constant current sandwich and NX-05 optic in the Brinkmann Legend 2aa.

Search for Mr. Bulk's LGI direct drive mod with 1W Luxeons and the Brinkmann Legend 3AA.

Search for Mr. Bulk's LGI Shorty using a Legend LX and 1W luxeon driven by a single 50 mm long 3.7 V 1000 mAh Li-Ion cell from Pila.

I have a Brinkmann Legend,
Loaded it up with a Badboy 400mA current regulator and a bin code Q3L 1.25watt Luxeon white LED. When you are ordering those parts, get the mineral glass lens for $1.50, well worth it and adds a touch of class.

I think you can make the hottest Brinkmann Legend by going with a Dat2Zip MadMax+/Q3L. It would probably be the brightest 2AA possible. I don't know what you could do with the X5, maybe load it up with higher rated Nichias. Doesn't seem to be much modding action on the X5.

E1 and E2, you might want to look up stuff done by McGizmo. I think that guy has done anything that could be done to a SureFire torch.
