Sorry, I tried searching on this subject and didn't come up with much info. I want to drive a SST50 around 2A from 3 123's. What drivers are available for this task?

Thanks

Thanks Matt, I missed that one (shark) somehow. I like the taskled drivers but can't use on this mod due to tail switch. Now all I need is a SST-50 on a star. I thought I had one but just missed the deal. Do you know what the min/max v is on the shark? I don't see it on the website.

The SharkBUCK max input voltage is limited to ~25V. I think as with any sharkBUCK you need +1v over vf to stay in regulation, so assuming a SST-50 needs something like 3.6v, then 3.7v minimum to stay regulated.

Here is a thread about the shark buck. I'm using 2 of them is parallel to push my SST-50 >5A (the light LedZep graciously assembled for me :) )

What are you building? Sounds interesting. I'm still working on my SST-90 project, and will start a build thread when it's finished.

Inspired by Darkzero, I have a KL6 I want to put a SST50 in. I also have a SST90 on a star I'm trying to figure out what to do with.
