Bulb Selection?

How does one go about selecting the proper bulb for there set up? I have a 3C cell using 3 AW Li-ion 18500 1500mAh batteries and have no clue as to what bulb to use. I have a bi-pin socket on order and all I need now is a bulb. Sorry if this is a stupid question but the light modding bug has bitten me and I am trying to learn. Thanks for any help that you can provide.
