Hi guys.
I have recently bought an M3, and a M4, i also have a 5mega 2x18650 M body.

i am looking at the different options for lumensfactory bulbs.
i plan on getting the HO-m3 to run on 2x17500 in the M3.
i also plan on getting the EO-M3T - to run on the M3, or in the M4 on 2x17670.

what i am wondering is can i run a IMR-M3T on 2x normal (AW black 2600mah) 18650 in the 5mega tube ? will this be safe ?
from what i have calculated, it will draw approx 3.4 amps, and run for around 40 minutes.
i think this is around 1.3C, and should be safe, i would just like a more experienced voice to confirm it should be safe, or to tell me i am an idiot, and not to try it.

Thanks in advance guys, I am not new to lights, but i am new to the high power incan world

Do you have an M3 or M3T? The EO-M3T will not fit in an M3, although you can use it in the M4 with the stock body and 2x17670 or with the FM body + 2x18650.

Yeah, it is completely safe to run an IMR-M3T on 2x regular li-ion cells. Even on 2x black AW 2200Mah cells. The 2600mAh version can handle up to 5.2A. No worries there. (I'd recommend using IMR cells, though -- nor for safety but for better performance)

I will give you a friendly advice: skip on the EO-M3T, it has less throw than the HO-M3T but a lot more battery consumption with no visible bump in overall brightness. Get the HO-M3T and the IMR-M3T -->> it has the most gorgeous incandescent beam I've ever seen, and significant more brightness than any other M3T lamp assembly from Lumens Factory.

Cheers.

Thanks outdoors fanatic.
I have the M3 head, M4 turbohead, and Lumensfactory P7 head
i also have M3, M4 and 5mega 2x18650 bodys
they are going to get switched about, and legoed into different setups.
I want to run LiIons in all of them, but stay safe doing so.

I think i will wind up with HO-M3, HO-M3T and IMR-M3T (and only run the IMR on the 5mega tube)

thank you for the help
