My E2D isn't working, with new batteries. I don't know if the bulb is burnt out or what. I looked at the lamp and cant see anything wrong, how can i check and see if this is the problem before paying for a new one?

If you have a DMM, check the continuity of the bulb. I have seen bulbs fail without apparent sign of failure. If the filament isn't broken, SureFire may replace it for free. You should ask them!

Make sure you are not using rechargeables with the stock lamp (bulb). So far, even with broken filaments, I have had good luck getting replacements by calling Surefire customer service. I just told them that the lamp burned out as soon as I replaced the batteries (start of the second or third set of batteries)...which in my case was the truth. If it is weak, it will usually go when the batteries are new. Also, be sure not to get any finger oils or greas on the glass as this will cause them to fail early. If contaminated, gently clean with rubbing alcohol and a clean rag.

How have these lamps been holding up for other people? I've never blown a P60 or P90, but have managed to blow about 5 MN03/2s.
