Old school 2D Mag-lite's too nice to pitch.. Pelican bulbs no longer available..

Hoping a current LED drop in will work with the 6xAA holder? Better options?

Can you post a pic of the bulb?
There are lots of replacement options depending on the bulb style.

Old style Pelican 3854 high output incandescent bulb. (not newer twin pin bulb) Just a drop in fit for Maglite.

Took a quick phone pic to post, but my photobucket account has been hijacked. Can we load photos directly from computer/laptop?

Believe the 6 AAs are lined up to deliver 9volts. Was wondering if a drop-in 9v LED was available?

..and if I'm reading correctly, it looks like a Firefly 3 to 6 cell conversion kit will work in my 6 AA cell Maglite?

Little pricey, but these old Maglites are too cool to just throw away!

Hey Danny,

First, no one will ever suggest you should get rid of the 2D!

The Malkoff 3D-6D drop-in or the AdventureSport Firefly should work perfectly off the 6AA holder.
