Hey everybody,

Is it possible to run the GL2 using two protected RCR123's and the Pila 9V 200 Lumen LA? How about the LF EO-9 as well? If this is possible I am looking into buying this setup.

yes, but it will probably need to be AW brand cells to light it up reliably.

no

The pila lamp draws around 1.3A which is actually still a little too high for a RCR123 but since most people don't use lights like this continuously it's rarely a problem, the EO-9 on the other hand, is 2 amps, way to high for any sort of practical use. The cells would be destroyed within a few cycles and runtime would be way too short.

Hey that sounds great! Can the first setup be used on a consistent and reliable basis?
